The charity focuses on providing access to clean drinking water, but it also provides dried meals, hygiene supplies and short-term shelter to those facing humanitarian crises.

    • Doctors without Borders is a charity that focuses on providing medical care to victims of armed conflict, epidemics, forced migration and disasters. The charity runs both immediate humanitarian relief projects and longer-term medical programs that treat diseases. The charity endeavors to advocate and raise awareness on issues that are related to human right violations and health care inequality. It was founded in 1971 and aims to reduce suffering, save lives, and provide medical care where it is needed most regardless of race, religion, or political affiliation.

    • The Association of the Arab Women’s Union was established in the city of Nablus in 1921, and it was managed by a number of elected administrative bodies from the women of the community in the city of Nablus, who left clear imprints on the process of Palestinian charitable work and contributed to building civil society despite the conditions of occupation and siege and the conditions experienced by the Palestinian people and his just cause.

    Legacy of Hope Foundation

    • A national Indigenous charitable organization with the mandate to educate and create awareness and understanding about the Residential School System, including the intergenerational impacts such as the removal of generations of Indigenous children from their families, including the Sixties Scoop, the post-traumatic stress disorders that many First Nations, Inuit, and Metis continue to experience, all while trying to address racism, foster empathy and understanding and inspire action to improve the situation of Indigenous Peoples today. The LHF supports the ongoing healing process of Residential School Survivors, and their families and seeks their input on projects that honour them.

    Woodland Cultural Centre’s Save the Evidence campaign

    • Save the Evidence is a campaign to raise awareness and support for the restoration of the former Mohawk Institute Residential School, and to develop the building into an Interpreted Historic Site and Educational Resource. As a site of conscience, the final goal is to create a fully-realized Interpretive Centre that will be the definitive destination for information about the history of Residential Schools in Canada, the experiences of Survivors of the schools, and the impact that the Residential School system has had on our communities.

    National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation

    • The NCTR is a place of learning and dialogue where the truths of the residential school experience will be honoured and kept safe for future generations.

    • The NCTR was created as part of the mandate of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada (TRC). The TRC was charged to listen to Survivors, their families, communities and others affected by the residential school system and educate Canadians about their experiences. The resulting collection of statements, documents and other materials now forms the sacred heart of the NCTR.

    • The NCTR Archives and Collections is the foundation for ongoing learning and research. Here, Survivors, their families, educators, researchers, and the public can examine the residential school system more deeply with the goal of fostering reconciliation and healing.

    • The Native Women’s Association of Canada (NWAC) is a National Indigenous Organization representing the political voice of Indigenous women, girls and gender diverse people in Canada, inclusive of First Nations on and off reserve, status and non-status, disenfranchised, Métis and Inuit. An aggregate of Indigenous women’s organizations from across the country, NWAC was founded on the collective goal to enhance, promote and foster the social, economic, cultural and political well-being of Indigenous women within their respective communities and Canada societies.
