Club Services
Being part of a club on campus is a great way to meet new people, share similar interests and/or learn something new. It’s important to find a healthy balance between your school work and your social activities while in University. What better way than to join or start a campus club?
There is an incredibly diverse selection of existing clubs to choose from, just visit the Student Organization Portal to check them out. Don’t see what you’re looking for? Go ahead and fill out a SCSU Club Registration Form! Whether its advice on putting on a club event, applying for Club Funding or booking a room in the Student Centre, we’ve got you covered.
SCSU Recognized Club Services
Club Services for the 2023-2024 School Year will commence on September 22nd, after the 1st Clubs Training Date.
Booking
Please note that Clubs have a maximum of ten (10) hours a week in regard to booking services.
Posting & Printing
The SCSU takes care of your club’s campus-wide promoting both through social media and physical posters offering 250 printing credits per Fall/Winter semester. Printing Service guidelines are as follows:
1 Copy in Black & White = 1 credit used.
1 Copy in Color = 5 credits used.
If you have a poster you would like printed via SCSU, please email the contents to info@scsu.ca for review. Upon approval, the requested amount from your group will be printed and posted if wanted on SCSU boards found throughout campus for 2 weeks from the submission date. Rules follow our postering policy which can be found here.
Lockers & Equipment Rentals
The SCSU provides lockers services for clubs. Please ensure that you bring a $20.00 cash deposit and one of the club’s signing officers when requesting for one. Please read the Terms of Use before inquiring about a locker.
Equipment rental services are also provided, please read the terms of use if you are interested in renting out equipment for your club.

The SCSU provides funding for recognized and renewed clubs. Here are the funding deadlines for the 2023-2024 school year:

Interested in starting a club? Whether it’s Academic, Faith, Athletic or Community-based, we can’t wait to hear your ideas!
Please click the link below and fully complete the SCSU Club Recognition Form. Be sure to include all required documents and complete the checklist prior to submitting it to the SCSU office.
Please Note: Clubs who do not include the required banking information and letter from The Department of Student Life will hold a “pending” status until all documents have been provided. We encourage you to complete the renewal process in its entirety in order to be an approved SCSU club.

Please ensure you are only submitting applications for the period of time indicated for each deadline.
If your budget is over $1000, you will have to schedule a meeting with the Vice-President Campus Life and prepare a budget presentation. For more information, please email VP Campus Life at campuslife@scsu.ca.
