The Scarborough Campus Students’ Union (SCSU) is a not-for-profit organization that represents all full-time and part-time undergraduate students at the University of Toronto Scarborough and provides to its members a broad range of advocacy, cost-saving services and events. The Student Centre is operated by the SCSU and serves as the central hub for student life/services on the UTSC campus.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The SCSU Videographer will be working with the SCSU Staff and the executive committee to document important events and campaigns through the art of photography/videography. The Videographer will report directly to the President and the Executive Director. As a Videographer, you will be responsible for capturing and producing high-quality video content that aligns with the SCSU brand and marketing objectives. Your work will contribute to our visual storytelling efforts and help promote our products, services, and events.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Videographer position includes a broad range of roles and responsibilities, and not all functions are contained within this position description as the position is ever-changing and adaptive. However, specific roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Attend mandatory meetings with the SCSU team and other coordinators.

  • Responsible for capturing memorable moments at SCSU events and actions as well as any promotional material for the 1265 Bistro.

  • The Videographer will use their tools along with a strong artistic vision to present their unique perspective of the world.

  • Editing their work through video editing platforms such that it is suitable for Instagram Reels and Tiktok.

  • Is responsible for reporting all accomplishments and hours of work to the Executive Director on a bi-weekly basis, with all projects and work assigned.

  • Assist the Executive Committee with other membership engagement activities as assigned

  • Other duties as assigned

  • Well versed in various video editing programs
