Approximate Hours per Week Mandatory Training Sessions & 3 Hours/day during tax clinic
Contract Duration January 2025 – March 2025
The Scarborough Campus Students’ Union (SCSU) is the not-for-profit organization that represents all Full-Time and Part-Time Undergraduate Students at the University of Toronto at Scarborough (UTSC), and provides to its members a broad range of services and events. The Student Centre is operated by SCSU and serves as the central hub of student life and services in the UTSC community. The Scarborough Campus Students’ Union (SCSU) intends to hire forty (40) Jr. Income Tax Associates to assist with the Income Tax Clinics for UTSC students. Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) and the Scarborough Campus Students’ Union will provide full training for all selected associates. UTSC students from ANY program can apply.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Recognizing that the Jr. Income Tax Associate functions encompass a broad scope of responsibilities, it is important to note that not all functions are contained within this position description, and the position itself will be ever-changing and adaptive. Nevertheless, specific roles and responsibilities allocated to this position include, but are not limited to the following:
All Jr. Income Tax Associates will be responsible for assisting UTSC students (domestic and international) on a one-on-one basis with filing their Income tax returns.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Previous Tax Filing is considered an asset
Basic experience in accounting, finance or math an asset
Comfortable working with numbers
Credible, mature and punctual
Openness to and respect of people’s culture, faith and traditions
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
